Sustainably sourced from wood scrap, these Spalted Birch Tree and Mountain earrings capture the essence of the Pacific Northwest. A rare find, spalted wood is characterized by distinctive dark lines and patterns caused by fungal growth. These markings, often called zone lines, are a result of fungi colonizing and interacting with the wood, creating unique and desirable visual effects for woodworking.
Wander the Woods earrings are all-natural wood with clear varnish. The wood is cut and sanded thin enough to laser-cut. A design is selected for each type of wood and once the design is cut, the earrings are hand sanded before applying a finish. French hook ear wire is made of hypoallergenic niobium accented with copper bead and jump ring.
