Zebrawood is known for its distinctive light-colored wood with dark brown or black stripes, resembling a zebra’s coat. It is typically sourced from West Africa. Our Zebrawood is sourced sustainably from mill ends in the Portland area. Zebrawood cuts easily, but the interlocking grain can make it difficult to surface or plane. Working with the woods natural grain, the artist skillfully designed these stylish encircled heart earrings.
Wander the Woods earrings are all-natural wood with clear varnish. The wood is cut and sanded thin enough to laser-cut. A design is selected for each type of wood and once the design is cut, the earrings are hand sanded before applying a finish. French hook ear wire is made of hypoallergenic niobium accented with copper bead and jump ring.
